Proposed 2013 20/20 Comp

30 Sep 2013 by BALLARAT CRICKET

The BCA, as a trial this season and also based on recent feedback from a players survey, have decided not to have a straight knockout 20/20 competition as per previous year and will introduce a new format that will see all teams entering, play a minimum of four matches over two weekends in November and the finals to be played in December. This format will apply to both District and Club 20/20 competitions pending club support.

Results MUST be entered into MyCricket at the conclusion of each match and a ladder will be produced showing points and percentage. At the conclusion of the two preliminary rounds the top four will enter the Semi finals, playing as 1 v 4 and 2 v 3 to decided the grand finalists

Preliminary Rounds (10th & 17th November)
The first game would be in the morning (approx. 10.00am) and the second in the afternoon (approx. 3.00pm) then the same the following week, giving you a total of four preliminary matches. All matches to be in Ballarat to maximise sponsors & exposure in Ballarat.

Semi Finals (1st December)
1 v 4 and 2 v 3 to decided the grand finalists – Games would be played with one SF in the morning and the second in the afternoon. This would allow teams to watch each others semi finals before playing in the GF.

Grand Finals (15th December)
Eastern Oval – Time: TBA
